The angry man from Badlapur, is busy becoming John Abraham’s wingman right now for the upcoming Dishoom. The youngest member of the Dhawan clan, Varun Dhawan is a hot luscious onion with many layers of sharpness and mush.
The comical of the lot, Varun slips into characters and stays with them till the ‘The End’ slate pops up. Thoughtful, hardworking and soft-spoken, in reality; a chance encounter on a suburban Andheri road saw him ducking inside the car, to avoid fan-bombing, Varun is the typical chota bachcha of the family. Attached to his mother, Varun has taken an important lesson from his mentor, the dapper Karan Johar. Varun deeply admires the depth of understanding and affection between KJo and his mother, Hiroo Yash Johar. This has made him the ‘beta’ who really cares. This one is a rare one!
The Kalakand lover holds a business degree from abroad and has toiled his way through assisting directors in his earlier days. Varun Dhawan is seriously a six-pack load of ironies. Usually jolly and chipper in his on screen appearances, he is quiet and simple in reality, declaring that he greatly values even a half an hour, spent in silence and solitude. His Instagram is teeming with brooding thoughtful mugs. He still hangs out with his old friends from the Pre-Bollywood days, who are a world away soaked in number crunching and other such worries of daily life.
With Dishoom, Varun gets to work with his elder sibling, Rohit Dhawan, who has already delivered a big hit with Desi Boyz. In Dishoom, Varun plays the happy go lucky, younger part of the stylish pair that zips off on an international chase, the other part being played by the hunky John Abraham. The punchlines do leave one with a Dishoom, as they are delivered without sweat and dropping a beat.
John’s six packs are legendary but Varun comes with his own huge fan following if it comes to the pecs and the abs. Varun apparently has had abs since he was twelve years old. These superstars, they are made in the crib, it seems!
A few films old, and yet such a memorable journey for all of us…Here’s to a totally Dhishoom-worthy performance at the box-office for Varun Dhawan’s next.
Dhishoom shall be in theatres on the 29th of July.
